Tyler Lorentz Hall was born and raised in West Virginia by two very loving and supportive parents. His father introduced him to the world of fantasy through Dungeons and Dragons, as well as reading about Narnia, Middle Earth, and the magic behind Hogwarts. His mother always served as a confidant and number one fan to any project undertaken.
Early in Lorentz’s life he spent time writing amateur poetry and short stories, but largely focused on music and sports. His love for music eventually led him to the windy city of Chicago, where he enrolled at DePaul University. For the next couple years, he would move from school to school, until he landed in Columbia College Chicago studying instrumental performance. After spending some extra time enjoying the college experience, Lorentz graduated with a Bachelor’s in Guitar Performance.
Having moved back to West Virginia, Lorentz soon found himself at a loss of purpose. He spent too much time trying to live the college lifestyle and ended up digging himself into a rut. However, he able to recover his love for writing during this time, spending countless hours developing his own world and backstory for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. To this day he still runes the game, armed with over 200,00 words of work. It was through this work that Lorentz was finally able to dig his way out and emerge a brighter, healthier soul.
Today Lorentz continues to ply his musical trade as well as progress his writing prowess. As 2022 begins, his sights are set to self-publish his first book, a children’s picture book. He is currently playing with some local musicians as well, and aims to release some music to the public within the year of 2022.
